Susannah Verney, Assistant Professor, University of Athens

Susannah Verney holds a BA in History (First Class Honours) from the School of Slavonic & East European Studies, Universityof London, and a PhD from King’s College London. Before joining the Universityof Athens, she was a Senior Investigator in the Office of the Greek Ombudsman (Human Rights Department). She is editor (with Anna Bosco) of the academic journal South European Society and Politics and the related Routledge book series. She has published five edited books and 40 articles. Many of her publications are concerned with EU Enlargement andSoutheastern Europe while her current research focuses on euroscepticism. She has been teaching on the Postgraduate Programme since its second year in 2000-01, was Academic Coordinator of the Programme in 2006-10 and has been a member of the Coordinating Committee since the academic year 2012-13.
