Dr. Aggeliki Dimitriadi, Researcher

Course: Migration and asylum governance in South-eastern Europe

Angeliki Dimitriadi is Head of the Migration Programme and Senior Research Fellow at ΕLIAMEP. Her work focuses on irregular migration and asylum policies in the EU, with a special focus on Greece. She was awarded a PhD from Democritus University of Thrace in Social Administration, a BSc in International Relations &History from the London School of Economics and an MA in War Studies from King’s College London. In recent years she teaches at College Year in Athens a comparative course on the global governance of irregular migration. She has presented her work in international conferences and seminars, has authored two monographs and has published in international academic journals. She has participated in numerous research projects and is currently working on the evaluation of the Common European Asylum System (CEASeval) and the impact of the refugee crisis of European norms and values (NoVaMigra).
