Dimitris Katsikas is Lecturer of International and European Political Economy at the Department of Political Science and Public Policy, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, and Head of the Crisis Observatory at the Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP). He studied Business Administration at the Athens University of Economics and Business (BA) and finance (MSc) and international political economy (MSc), at the London School of Economics (LSE). He received his PhD from LSE in the field of international economic relations. In 2010-11, he was ‘Stavros Costopoulos’ Research Fellow at ELIAMEP and since 2013 has taught as Visiting Professor at the Greek National School of Public Administration and the Diplomatic Academy of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He has presented his work in international conferences and seminars and has published in international academic journals. In recent years, the Greek and European crises have become his major research interests.
